Shopping local keeps money within our community and helps preserve the culture and character that is unique to Richmond. For every $100 spent in locally owned stores, $68 returns to the communities through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend $100 in a national chain, only $43 returns to the community. Now, if that is spent online with a national chain nothing returns to our community.
